Direction Built
on Reality.
One-on-one sessions to identify direction, assess strengths and build a realistic plan. Honest about what the market actually looks like. Specific about exactly what you need to do next.
Most Graduates Leave
Without a Plan.
The problem most graduates and early professionals face is not a lack of ability. It is a lack of direction. They have a degree, some skills they are not sure how to articulate, a vague idea of what kind of work they want to do, and no concrete plan for how to get there from where they currently are.
Traditional career counselling reinforces this problem by being vague and affirming. It tells you your strengths, confirms your existing ideas are good and sends you away with a feeling of progress rather than an actual plan. Six weeks later you are in the same position.
Fluentur career counselling operates from the opposite premise. We start with the hard questions. We tell you what is realistic and what is not. We identify the specific gaps between where you are and where you want to go, and we give you a precise, actionable plan for closing them. The session is uncomfortable in the right ways and useful in ways that most people have not experienced from a career conversation before.
- ◈Final-year students who do not know what to do after graduation
- ◈Recent graduates who have been applying and not getting responses
- ◈Early professionals stuck in a role that is not developing them
- ◈People wanting to change industries but not sure how to position themselves
- ◈Students returning from abroad who need to understand the local market
If the role you are targeting requires skills you do not have, we tell you that specifically rather than generally. If your resume is creating the wrong impression, we show you exactly how. If the industry you are targeting has narrowed significantly, we tell you and show you adjacent paths where your skills are more directly competitive. Honesty without a plan is just criticism. We always follow it with the concrete next step.
Every Session Has
a Specific Purpose.
We do not have general conversations about your future. Each step produces a concrete output that feeds directly into the next.
We go through your current resume, LinkedIn profile and portfolio line by line. Not to find things to praise. To find exactly what is not working and why. We also audit your underlying assumptions about what you are capable of and what the market wants from someone at your stage.
We identify the roles that actually fit your verifiable skills, your realistic ambitions and the market that exists right now. Not the market you wish existed. Not the roles that look good on paper. The roles where someone with your specific background has a genuine competitive advantage over most other applicants.
For each target role type, we map the specific skills, experiences, credentials and portfolio items you currently have against what the role actually requires. The gaps are listed explicitly — not summarised, not softened. A skills gap is a skills gap. A portfolio gap is a portfolio gap. Each one gets a specific closure strategy.
A step-by-step roadmap for the next 30, 60 and 90 days. Not goals. Actions. On day one after the session you know exactly what you are doing that morning. The plan includes application targets, portfolio projects to build, connections to make and skills to develop — all prioritised by impact and sequenced logically.
How to Engage
With Career Counselling.
We offer career counselling as individual standalone sessions, as a structured programme following the four-step process above, or as the first sprint of the Fluentur Accelerate programme for students who want the full 120-day experience alongside the counselling.
The first session is always free. It is not a sales conversation. We will assess where you are and tell you honestly what we think the most useful next step is — including if that next step is not more sessions with us.
Book a Free First SessionFor a specific question or decision. Useful if you are at a crossroads and need an honest external view on one specific thing — which path to take, whether a role is realistic, how to reposition for a change. Two hours. One clear outcome.
The full structured engagement following the four-step process. Typically four to six sessions over two to three weeks. You leave with a complete audit, a prioritised role shortlist, a gap matrix with closure strategies and a 90-day execution plan.
The four-step counselling process is Sprint 1 of Fluentur Accelerate. If you want career counselling plus the skills development, real project work and placement support of the full 120-day programme, Accelerate includes everything.
The First Session
Is Always Free.
We will tell you exactly what we think. No commitment to proceed beyond that.
